Tourism in Ottawa - the capital of Canada - best hotels - insurance

The city of Ottawa arose between 1820 and 1840 against the backdrop of a construction base where the Rideau conduit  separated from the Ottawa River. The British colonel John B. (1779-1836) was responsible for the canal project, so the city was known as the "Beaton". In 1854, the city changed its name to Ottawa and later evolved into the capital of Canada. Tourism in Ottawa is one of the most distinctive features of the charming city. The most important landmarks in Ottawa are the Parliament buildings built in 1865 on the Ottawa River, and the first Canadian Parliament met after the founding of Dominion Canada in 1867.

Along with Gatineau across the Ottawa River in Quebec, Ottawa has succeeded more than any other Canadian city in developing intellectual, artistic and cultural life dynamically. Universities such as the University of Ottawa and several research institutes have contributed to this by taking an interest in the concept of educational tourism in Ottawa, as well as through internationally renowned venues and the National Center for the Arts, such as opera and concert venues; the National Library and Archives; the National Museum in a good building by Moshe Safdie; and the Canadian Museum of Civilization, in a building awarded by Cardinal Douglas.
